General Notes:
Heinrich was on the muster roll in 1778 of the 2nd Co. 3rd battalion of Norhtampton Co., Pennsylvania. His pension papers mention the service in the vicinity of Philadelphia in 1778 and in the Wyoming Valley after the Wyoming Massacre. In 1790 he was on the muster roll of Capt. Hugh Watson's Co, 3rd Battalion of Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania he was a Private.
He was on the tax list in Penn Twp, Northampton Co in 1772. In 1781 and in several later years he was taxed in Augusta and Turbutt Twps, Northumberland Co.
In 1790 the first census enumerated the family of Henry "Orner" in Northumberland County. The family consisted of three white males, four free white females under 16 and two free white females.
In the 1800 Census Henry Arner Sr. was enumerated in Hempfield Twp, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania as: males 1, 10-16; 3, 16-26; 1 over 45; and 1 female over 45.
Heinrich and Catherine moved to Hempfield, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania about 1795. While living there they were baptismal sponsors in 1799 for the children of Johannes and Barbara Baer and Leonhart and Susana Beck in addition to sponsoring three of their own grandchildren. They moved to Springfield Twp, Mahoning Co. Ohio about 1812.
