Schleicher purchased the former James DeLong property and had dairy cows. During a strong wind storm in May 1935, a high-tension power line fell onto a water pipe that carried water to the drinking cups in the barn, electrocuting four cows. Milk was hauled to Small and Koch, and later to Walter Gerstlauer's Dairy in Lehighton. The barn was struck by lightning in the late 1930's; nevertheless, it burned to the ground in 1945. George died in 1953 at age 69.

George married Lillian Cunfer. (Lillian Cunfer was born on an unknown date and died on an unknown date.)
