bullet  General Notes:

Per Bill Frasier
George Ruch was listed on the 1781 tax roll of Upper Milford Township, Northampton County. On the federal tax lists of 1785 and 1788 for Northampton County, George is taxed on 140 acres of land, three horses and three cattle. It is also noted that he is a wheelwright.
The Lehigh County tax list of 1812 (Lehigh County formed out of Northampton County in that year) lists George Ruch in Upper Milford Township.
There was a George Ruch who served in the Northampton County Militia in the Revolutionary War. It is not certain that this was this George, but the author (Bill Frasier) has uncovered no other George Ruchs in Northampton County that would fit the age criteria. George Ruch served as a private in the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Company, 2nd Class.

It is not known where George Ruch is buried.
