Per an email from Ray Fries,
1880 Census for Albany, Berks, Pennsylvania records that David's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. It also records that living with him at the time of the census was his brother Henry, who was 30, worked as a laborer, and was born in Pennsylvania. Also living with David was his neice, Rufina Hienly, who was 5 years old and was born in Pennsylvania. She was likely the daughter of Henry.

David married Amanda Levan, daughter of Benjamin Levan and Anna Lutz. (Amanda Levan was born about 1836 ⁴⁵² and died on an unknown date.)
