Hello Jeff,

Christian Miller, Sr is my husband's fifth great grandfather. He was born 25 June 1706 in Berne Canton, Switzerland and died 1 July 1785 in Lynn Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. He married Elizabetha Knisely in 1728; b: 1711 in Switzerland; d: 1806 in Lynn Township.

"Christian Miller Sr., probably with his wife, Elizabetha, came to America from Switzerland, arriving in Philadelphia, November 9, 1738 on the "Charming Nancy" which had sailed from Rotterdam and stopped at Cowes on the Isle of Wight." (This quote is from a book published in 1956 entitled "The Line of Christian Miller".

The photo you included in your email was taken in the Miller family cemetery in Lynnville, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. It lists his age as 79 years, 19 days.

Son, Christian Miller, Jr. and grandson, Peter Miller, Sr are also buried in this family cemetery.

You may also be distantly related to me. Conrad Bloss' granddaughter Maria Barbara married Johan Bittenbender, brother of my 3^th great grandfather.
