Christopher and Anna with their 3 children moved to Albany Twp., Berks Co., from there they again moved to Chillisquaque Twp, Northumberland Co., then to Unity Twp, Westmoreland Co in 1817. Sons Peter and John moved to Cambria Co. about 1823. Elizabeth married George Miller in Northumberland Co and remained in Derry Twp., Westmoreland, Pennsylvania.

According to Brian Cartwright's genealogy of the Eckenrode Family, "On August 7, 1777 "Stofel Eckenrode" of Lynn Township, Northhampton County subscribed to the "Oath of Allegiance and Fidelity," to the State of Pennsylvania. Other subscribers on the same day were his brother George and his brother-in-law Frederick Lutz. During the Revolutionary War, Christopher served in 1778 as a Corporal in Captain Matthias Probat's 6th Company, 3rd Battalion, of the Northhampton Co. militia. The same unit as his brother George served as Private 6th class and his brother-in-law Frederick Lutz served as Sergeant.

Christopher married Anna Margaret Henrich, daughter of Christian Henrich Sr. and Mary Margaret Unknown, on Apr 27, 1779 in Washington Twp., Berks Co., Pennsylvania.⁶⁵¹ (Anna Margaret Henrich was born about 1744 in Albany Twp, Berks Co, Pennsylvania and died about 1817 in Columbia Co., Pennsylvania.)
